Katherine Marie Work (she/her)

Katherine is a trauma-informed and neurodiverse human who gained grit and resilience from enduring adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), allowing her to bring deep understanding and empathy to those who have experienced their own unique traumas. A neurodivergent human diagnosed with ADHD, GAD and a mood disorder, she successfully manages all with a combination of therapy, medication and physical activities while practicing life-long resilience tools. She wants the same for you!

Katherines’ specialties include working with those exploring neurodiversity, depression, mood disorders and anxiety. She is an expert in executive functioning.

As your therapist, her number one goal is to establish a healthy and trusting relationship with you. While boosting your self-confidence, we might explore and then challenge unhealthy self-beliefs, practice methods for dealing with stress, and utilize solution-focused therapy as a way to fulfill goals. Hearing an objective perspective may help you uncover insights otherwise not considered. She is a firm believer in practicing daily deliberate breathing exercises as an efficient way to maintain both psychological and physical health.

In addition to therapy and social work, Katherine earned a degree in public policy while studying environmental science. She has been described as observant, pragmatic and funny. Her life-long passions are ecology and anything having to do with nature and animals!
